We are a small animal practice in Nottinghamshire, first established in the 1960s. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals.
Gemma joined Buttercross in early 2013 and became clinical director in April 2017. She qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2004, initially spending 18 months in mixed practice in Lincolnshire and three years specialising in equine lameness before returning to mixed practice. She has special interests in soft tissue surgery, cardiology and ophthalmology, and leads the clinical governance team. Gemma married Nick in 2012 and had her son Thomas in September 2015. She enjoys spending time with her family, walking her Border Terrier, Tilly, riding her horse Woody, gardening and cooking. Gemma is always busy!
